In partnership with EJI, JCMP will help bring historical markers to lynching sites throughout Jefferson County. We are working with city committees to help cities with lynching sites better understand their history and prepare to create their own historical marker.
On February 23rd, 2021 the Irondale Memorial Project unveil their historical marker dedicated to William Wardley.
On September 16th, 2019 over 300 residents of Jefferson County gathered to dedicate our first historical marker at Sloss Furnaces.
